On the first day of the tenancy period, our clerk will meet the tenants at the property, with the keys to be handed over and the inventory document.
The clerk will thoroughly check the property, ensuring that the inventory represents a fair and accurate description of the condition and cleanliness of all areas making detailed notes on the inventory where changes have occurred since the original compilation.
Thereafter, the clerk will take meter readings and appraise the tenants of any pertinent issues, which may include:
The final part of the check-in procedure involves producing a declaration to accompany the inventory, complete with a list of the keys handed over. This document summarises the overall condition and cleanliness of the property and its fixtures and fittings and any contents, which the tenant signs.
Finally, the clerk will hand the keys into the tenant’s possession, wish them luck in their new home and the check-in procedure is complete.
